Terms & Conditions
Scope of Services
Pause provides private, in-home chiropractic and bodywork services, including but not limited to spinal and extremity adjustments, soft tissue bodywork, lymphatic support, and related manual therapies. All services are provided by Dr. Carriveau, a licensed chiropractor.

Care is individualized and based on professional judgment at the time of each visit. Services are not intended to replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment provided by a primary care physician or specialist.
Client Acceptance & Right to Refuse Care
Pause operates as a private, application-based service. Submission of a request does not guarantee acceptance as a client.

Dr. Carriveau reserves the right to approve, decline, or discontinue care at any time, for any reason deemed appropriate, including but not limited to clinical judgment, safety concerns, or lack of appropriate fit for in-home services.
Payment & Financial Policy
Pause is a cash-based practice. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.

Pause does not bill insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. Clients are responsible for the full cost of services rendered. Upon request, a receipt may be provided for clients who wish to independently seek reimbursement from their insurance provider; however, reimbursement is not guaranteed.
In-Home Service Considerations
By requesting in-home care, clients agree to provide a safe, clean, and appropriate environment for treatment. Pause House reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a session if the environment is deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or otherwise unsuitable.

Clients are responsible for ensuring adequate space for treatment and for securing pets or other potential disruptions during the visit.
Cancellations & Scheduling
Due to the limited number of clients served, scheduled appointments are reserved exclusively for you.
-
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling
-
Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee
Pause House reserves the right to modify or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.
Privacy & HIPAA Compliance
Pause is committed to protecting your personal health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

All medical records, communications, and personal information are kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing care. Information will not be shared without your consent except as required by law.
Professional Licensing & Insurance
Dr. Carriveau is a licensed chiropractor and maintains appropriate professional liability insurance. Services are provided in accordance with applicable state laws and professional standards.
Limitation of Liability
By engaging in services with Pause, clients acknowledge and accept that all manual therapies carry some level of inherent risk. While care is delivered with the highest level of professionalism and attention, results are not guaranteed.

Pause shall not be held liable for outcomes related to services provided, except in cases of gross negligence as defined by applicable law.
